TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. WARRANTY

Our products carry a limited one (1) year warranty against manufacturer’s defect (excluding finishes).

2. WARRANTY DETAILS

The One (1) Year warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the fixture itself, and does not include other charges such as, site work or electrician fees. Lowcountry Originals reserves the right to make the determination of whether repair or replacement is appropriate. All on-site repair work must be pre-approved in writing in order to receive any reimbursement. Incorrect installation will void this warranty entirely. This warranty does not cover damages from weathering, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

3. INITIAL DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT

A 50% deposit is required before an order is placed into our production schedule. Deposits are non-refundable. Final payment including crating and shipping fees is due prior to shipment or release of an order.

4. PRICING

Pricing is subject to change without notice. Estimates are valid for thirty (30) days. Please refer to our pricing policy for additional information.

5. ORDER ACCURACY

In order to ensure your satisfaction, we require a client signature on all estimates prior to processing. In the event that we do not have a signature, a deposit on an estimate indicates approval for processing. Please review your estimate thoroughly for accuracy as we will not be held responsible for discrepancies in quantities or custom specifications. The details and quantities contained in our estimate will be deemed final and will supersede any conflicting details or quantities contained in a client’s purchase order.

6. SHIPMENT

Unless otherwise requested by the client, orders are typically shipped via common carrier. Please let us know if this method is not suitable for the delivery site and inform us at the time of ordering if it is not. Other orders may be shipped parcel method, such as UPS or USPS. Crating fees will be determined at the time of shipping. All orders are assessed shipping and handling charges. If a client does not wish to incur shipping charges, their fixtures will be made available for pick up at our shipping dock, where handling charges will be applied and our liability for shipping damage will end. Orders held at our manufacturing facility longer than 2 weeks past their final payment due date are subject to a storage fee. Change of address, re-delivery and liftgate charges after shipping will have additional fees.

7. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE FIXTURES

Clients must examine merchandise upon receipt and report any damage to Lowcountry Originals within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt. Claims for damage will not be honored after that period. Due to the value of our fixtures, we ship all orders with a signature required.  All packaging must be retained when making a claim for damage and visible damage must be noted in writing with the shipper. Fixtures must be inspected at the time of receipt for defects or deficiencies. We will not be liable for anything beyond replacement or repair of defective or deficient fixtures, and will not be held responsible for installation expenses incurred as a result of a deficiency or defect. Installation constitutes acceptance.

8. RETURNS

Due to the fact that all of our products are made to order all sales are final.

9. PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES

Our lead times can vary depending upon our production schedule and depending upon the size and complexity of a given order. Standard production time is 10-12 weeks. Custom designs can take up to 16 weeks production time. All quoted ship dates are estimates only and are subject to change.

10. FINISHES & ACCENTS

Most of our finishes are hand-applied and are subject to occasional irregularities or variations. Many of our finishes are “living” and will continue to patinate over time. Due to the organic nature of our accent pieces, for example shells, crystal, glass, bees wax candle sleeves, natural variations will occur in each product

11. MET LISTING

About the MET Mark

The MET Mark for product safety is accepted throughout the United States & Canada and indicates compliance to federal regulations for safe use in the workplace. 30 years ago, MET became the first OSHA-recognized NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) in the United States. The NRTL mark is required under federal law for products used in workplaces in all 50 states. MET listed products are also sold in every major retail stores throughout the United States and Canada.

12. HANDCRAFTED

All products are hand crafted and painted custom works of art. There will be subtle differences in the paint of each piece as they are living finishes. All sizes may vary slightly by an inch or two, due to the handcrafted nature of the fixtures

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Lowcountry Originals retains copyright and ownership of all quotations, designs, drawings, and plans.
